Akatsuki is an Organization in Naruto Shippudenv The word "Akatsuki" kanji means daybreak, breaking down the word itself gives us "aka" meaning red and "tsuki" meaning moon. Akatsuki was founded in Amegakure by Yahiko, Konan and Nagato. who wanted to bring peace to the bloody, war-ridden Amegakure. After being traumatized by Yahiko's death, Nagato adopted a new harder outlook on how to achieve peace as the group's new leader, they remain one of the coolest anime Villain Group rivalring Phantom Troupe Here are my ranking of the Strongest members in ascending order.

10:- ZETSU
You probably guessed it. Zetsu isn't a fighting type but more of a spying one. His abilities include mostly plant type attacks. Like creating strong vines which could grow on the ground and pierce weak ninjas.
9:- HIDAN
Hidan is immortal. He can't really die unless he doesn't do his rituals to his lord Jashin. He has an interesting weapon which unlocks his main ability by creating a ritual if he takes your blood. Whenever he pierces his self the other person feel the pain too. Its quite deadly indeed but the only time that jutsu would work is if he has a support. and if you just witnessing it for the first time, He isn't strong at all in a one on one fight, Plus his ritual takes time, And who would give him that?
8:- DEIDARA
Easily, another very powerful ninja declaring that when he single handedly defeated Gaara in his own village of sands,but he can become quite reckless if he believes you’re mocking his art. This makes him do things that a level headed Shinobi wouldn’t, which plays a part in his defeat, Despite this he is still to be feared and would of taken Sasuke with him to the grave if not for Sasuke sacrificing Manda.
7:- SASORI
Sasori was the only one from the flat characterized Akatsuki members to actually have a complete back story. And it was sad. He was so interesting and it was sad that he died first and we could have seen him more but his fight with chiyo and sakura was amazing. He had so many forms. His abilities were so unique and his red puppets did take a country before.
6:- KONAN
She has a sad past with her friends, another beautiful ninja who uses her wits and calm headed nature to control the Akatsuki this administrative and wide range coverage of her papers earned her the name "Lady Angel" She didn't have that much fights but the one with Tobi was so cool. It made us wanting more. And the sad thing it's that we couldn't see her when they got reincarnated because kabuto thought she was going to ruin his plans.
5:- KAKUZU
Kakuzu was super strong. He had 5 lives and all of them were like masks with nature abilities. He also could extend his arms and harden them too. Hewas strong enough to take care of kakashi and team asuma. He also did fight the first Hokage so he's old as f*ck.

4:- KISAME
Kisame can reach chakra levels nearing that of tailed beasts with the help of his sword Shark Skin. His water style ninjutsu is second only to the Second Hokage and he can heal fatal damage with the chakra he steals from opponents. He was able to go even with Killer B, the 8 tail jinchuuriki who himself, was able to beat down a MS powered Sasuke and his crew.

While that is his strongest ability, he is also one of the most powerful fire style users on the show, in addition he is able to use Wood Release, and he gains the certain advantages of Hashirama Senju’s DNA. When Tobi transplants the Rinnegan, he is also able to create his own version of the 6 Paths of Pain.

Itachi was able to easily defeat and humiliate Orochimaru when they were partnered. Before the decay of his eyes Itachi was able to easily beat Kage level opponents. His Genjutsu is some of the strongest in existence and his fire style jutsu is on par with that of Obito’s. Itachi also has his Susanoo which is in addiction equipped with the Yata Mirror and the Totsuka Blade. Itachi’s biggest weakness is his stamina and the rapid decay of his eyesight in battle.

Nagato was able to defeat and kill both Hanzo the Salamander and Master Jiraiya (Though he admits that if Jiraiya knew the secret to his jutsu he would of won). Nagato only using the Pain Ptwaths was able to accomplish this and was even able to defeat Naruto in Sage Mode with Naruto also having help from toads of Mount Myoboku (2 of them being sages themselves). After being brought back, Nagato without the Pain Pathes was able to fight Naruto, Itachi, and Killer B at once and would of killed both Naruto and B if not for Itachi interfering. And that was with his legs still being semi immobile. Anyways yeah Nagato was a monster and Kabuto said that he was second only to Madara when he summoned the two
