I first heard Lorine Chia in Jamilla Wood's Lonely lonely in the HEAVN album and wondered who was the person whose voice similar to Jamilla was still quite unique i took a instant liking to her voice and followed it to an EP with Romero Mosley
The album is an appeal to the emotional side of love and the need to find Your Love in this divesified spectrum called earth. Her voice which sound so alive and beautiful radiates the entire EP
Speak life (Intro)as an intro with her voice lighting the way into the song, followed by
A little While (5683) which is just beautiful with the perfect instrumental making the song the piano which makes the song something from Rapture album of Anita Baker "Dial L.O.V.E" making your stomach grooving with butterflies and begging your love to stay, in the phone 5683 is where the letters LOVE are so it make sense
Abracadabra also starts with the beauty most love song, with Rhetorics and question that only lovers ask with the fear of losing them. My personal favourite, Abacadabra is a lovely song and
One needs to credit also the production quality of Romero Mosley as the flow of the piano, the guitars are just so good, giving the album the jaded atmosphere it needs to preach the universal language.
Intergalatic love (Interlude) is a duet with Romero which features the love now in space where showing that space is and it serve as the interlude to Let it go which serves as the catharsis of the song because the emotional purgation is needed if one is to find love, one need to first let go and this song just reflects that, and helps severe those old bonds we feel reluctant to cut. and help us move on.
Find your love ft Rube of the Dungeon family, finally acts a wake up call and a spur for people every to go and search for love wherever they may find. with a promise that surely they will find and they wont be as alone as the current situation prophesies which couldn't be sung better than the angelic voice of Lorine Chia, Assisted by Big Rube whose spoken words haunt through the song beautiful ending with a hope that we are going to find our love
The whole EP was summarized finally by the spoken words from Big Rube which highlights the loneliness which exist today as we search for our missing ribs in the skeleton infested closets of our loved ones.
" The quest for true love must begin within, care for oneself is necessary
if ever we are to cherish anyone else.
Neglect because alone self respect may cause
internal conflict and emotional disconnect
the one night stands becomes routine as we religiously increase their sum
they hold little value in the search for love
they rarely light the darkness of looming question within answers we seek as the morning comes,
we mourn the sum up of their relationships that have died
because the emotional nourishment we neglect to provide
respect for self can fill and heal the empty pain we hold inside
once the path is cleared the better way is revealed all promises fulfilled
and your love you will find "
