A FAN OF HIS PEOPLE

   Hitler is the devil I know, but it’s been eighty years, and I have had to see the events with a little more distinction if I can call it that, Brutal as what the Nazi’s did, despicable to speak off as all of it might be,  I have to admit it takes discipline and an unbreakable resolve to lead a people the way Hitler did and for that I must say I am in awe of the man, commanding that raise of the hand then and even among some people today, we have to remember that the Nazi was just a political party, and for them to have such a strong influence which still hold high till today is because most of the social malaise they sought to tackle were and are still true

Triumph of the will made me see Hitler in a way that I haven’t before and for the horrible things he did I know there is no place in hell hot enough for him but I have to say the words in his manifestos, the way he spoke, from his heart ringing his “r” using the high pitched tone of his voice everything was so charismatic and seducing and it made me wonder who today can be a fan of his people among we the black folks or specifically in my country Nigeria

Recently I saw The Wonderful and Horrible life of Leni Riefenstahl, the German actress who directed the movie The Triumph of the will, Olympia among others, as she explained the artistic nature of the movie and how she did it due to the overwhelming wind of change that was Hitler’s persuasive power in his voice, action and resolve and the unwavering backing of the people he had at that time, and It really got me thinking that It would only take a  man that is a fan of his people to instill in them the peculiarities of race and blood and the give to them the manifest to go and conquer Europe and the world for they are gods. Hitler, Rosenberg, Goebbels et. Al are all victims of the accident of birth, if they were born black they would have no choice but to be the Malcolm X. and Martin Luther King of their time, but they were born white through no fault of theirs and they have to support white because that was the color  of their skin, However preposterous as the things they said were they had to conjure it up because they loved, cherished and were a fan of what they were, unlike most people today in modern Nigeria who spend quite a lot of money trying to bleach their skin because they are not proud of their skin and wish to be someone or something else, disassociating themselves from their blackness from which they find no pride of place in.

The people of Deutschland (i.e. Germany) were just farmers, horse groomers, and mercenary there was and still is nothing special about them, they are evolved monkeys like the rest of us, struggling through life and facing poverty at one point in their life or the other. prior to the first world war they knew nothing peculiar about the color of their skin, whether it was godlike (if there even is a god) or blessed or special mattered very little to them they lived their lives as their lots were cast and played beggar, brigand and boss when it was called. It was only through Rosenberg that they started the propaganda of the color of their skin being the color of their mind, this which is an actual a schizoid declaration, but with the right kind of pressure and belief can find root in the heart of whom it is referred. Call a dog a certain name and it will respond to it as the proverb says.

Someone believed in them and created for them a sense of uniqueness, self and pride they way Hitler made them feel was not only superior but created a belief in themselves which frankly they still radiate till today, Especially that part where they ask each other where they are from, Danube, Saar, Friesland, the Red Star, one Fuhrer one Deutschland when you look at that, tell me what compares to that in terms of nationalism in Africa generally or Nigeria specifically today,

Also we hear Hitler say all of Deutschland will have to pass through the worker’s corps no class no statues one big party. this kind of manifesto is all we ask of today’s leader but very few can say and deliver on their promise very few of them in Nigeria are fans of their people all they want to do is loot and take to the only heaven they can see which is abroad, not knowing that men like them built the paradise and ideal they run to. It seem sad to say but none of our leaders in Nigeria compare to Hitler in terms of Nationalism and aside the Killing of the Jew ( and I do not take this lightly­) he was a damn good leader. He was disciplined and focused, an artist in the real sense of the world the aim (however grand it was ) was the painting  the death little brushstrokes, however it takes fortitude a firm belief to hyperbolically discount like that

How does this find credence today? Today we have still battling a problem of racism and a lack of racial identity or a lack of self as a black man, I have been made to see myself as cursed for being a black man as below par and sub human by our leaders who beggar us and make us feel inept with a bad, stultifying education, denying us the basic human and social amenities like water, light et. al .However I can’t find anyone who can fulfill a single campaign promis. Hitler whom Compared to the thieves we call leaders today he was better off, we need a leader who like Hitler can be a fan of his people give respect and pride to the black race tell us that God has given us the power to conquer and be victorious someone who will believe in us, a person that will infuse in us the discipline and ardor of true living, blessing one’s existence with pride duty and unity in the belief in oneself and one’s race, a firebrand nationalism someone who will be for us a model of discipline re educate us and fulfill his promises someone who will give the black people a sense of self

As Hitler turned a group of farmers, shepherds, horse groomers into soldiers and warriors we need someone who will be a fan of these former slaves and show them their pride of place giving them a change of heart a change of philosophy someone like Bob Marley, Marcus Garvey, Thomas Sankara, who is a fan  of the nappy head, a leader who is obsessed about the brown and black eyes  of the African people the brown and black skin of the black race and see it as the most glorious thing maybe we too can walk this earth self sufficient, content and with pride as gods.
