The Curse that is "Road"; Reviewing Mr Johnson

I wish Nigeria was a railway country, and there no major road or express way just foot and bicycle paths for what has the road really brought us, if not pain and suffering.
In building the so called roads, many infrastructure have gone to rot. And we spend billions building these roads only to line the pockets of very corrupt few, who do substandard roads so that they can do the same substandard road over and over again.
What is the benefit of the road rather than increasing a life of speed,  when you expand the road and not the minds of those driving on the road, you only have monkeys running around aimlessly looking for people that they can kill or seriously maim.
If you are a human being why should I have to run like hell for a car you are deliberately pressing your foot on the pedal in, you are driving the car, not the other way round.
If Nigeria was a railway country with no road, it would reduce the need to "go out". Everything will be done with the utmost intentionality, We wouldn't be the dumping ground of damaged cars, and toxic junks all in the name of today's folly.
Road reduces the sleeepy nature of a town, bring madness out of people as they chase senseless speed, greed and stupidity. I look at the average Lagos conductor shouting different bus stops, his voice hoarse and his eyes red, i ask myself what the hell does he hope to achieve at the end, if everything in this life is greed unto waste and nothing last. In an alternate reality he would be poor, content and quiet perched in the shade of a tree in contemplation like the characters of Kiarostami's soporifics. Poor and proud if only Nigeria was a railway country.
his only need for roaming the streets of a city will be discounted under the shade of a tree, he and his children are liable to read more, rest more sleep more and as such have a more fulfilled life. Do you see why i say "road" is a curse. Which is what made me understand the young man in Meet the Ambersons who was livid at the thought of cars on the road.
I'd much rather we had little bicycle tracks, with bicycles of sweat and intentionality that delivered news and letter under the share drink of a glass of water, I'd much rather we waited patiently for a train in a station and during the wait contemplate the journey as it were, meet new friends and sleep during the journey which in truth is the destination. I see trees, i see less pollution, less rural to urban migration, less speed, more mindfulness, more sleep, contemplation and happiness.

Which bring me to the review of Mr Johnson a joint collaboration of the old Nigerian geniuses who made good movies, rather than the quick rubbish they throw at our face these days that make people consider it an insult to be said to have been watching Nollywood.
" What will happen to Sleepy old Fada", "The town is changing",Yes the "motif" of development destroyed a town, and ended a man's life. King road just like King cotton lead to slavery line the pocket of a few. The colonized Mr Johnson seeks recognition to complete a road that opens up the town of Fada to the big road in the north, but is it necessarily a good thing?
Good acting from Hubert, Pierce Brosnan and I wonder where the mental rut of today's world started as you can see that in comparison today we have really fallen as a people.
Do see this movie and ask yourself like i have that if the basic measure of civilization(road) is wrong, what else is?
