In Memory Of A Smile

Ah, there it is, that smile
molded from bruxism
stemming from a heart so broken
a smile is it's protest.
but to have your hair pulled, while roped
as a symbolism of your topple ?
You look at your oppressor, his skin, -
Black.
what then did i fight for? why can't they see it?
To strive and starve for the freedom of a race
dismembered and dissolved
what's left is only a part of it.
for it was wonderful smile.
