I was just nostalgic, insisting that it isn't weird that I a Nigeria should be have kenopsia for Iran on the eve of her Islamic revolution, but you see shades of Nigeria in the 80's and know Evey country had a time just like this, is it Libya, Iraq, Syria and I wonder if Iran would remember herself.
The Newborns by Kianosh Ayari is a documentary of life in Iran atomized in a fair and so on, of what life was like just before it came veiling down. and I saw life, it was a life, something breathing and sweating, something smiling and a lot of nectar could be drawn from even the poverty withered flower of Iran just before their revolution compare to the now.
A lot of people were angry, play in the theater, portrayals of a break free as a lot wanted more form the Shah, but some of those embers seemed stoked by the wave of Arafat, But rolling in his grave Arafat would be dismayed at the way Gaza is being destroyed today by Israel
what would the Arab leaders think of thier region, chained by Islam, bombarded and destroyed by the West, stifled by repression and inferiority complexed by the Ideologies of the West, it is a spit on their face to have their civilization crumble before their very eyes.
There were waves of the vitriolic down with the Shah sang by the youths, but I am sure it's one they regret, looking at the repression, state monitoring and execution they live, it's no wonder some miss the Shah, others pray for the return of his son.
On the eve of the revolution, there is a gleam of a light thet was snuffed out in the wake of the Islamic rule, We hear intelligent quips, a group of free funny and quirky people were turned into a country of ghost and scowls
The Shah corrupt regime was quite corrupt and the poverty was unbearable but in retrospect was going along with the Islamic revolution a throwing away the babe with the bath water. When we look at the freedom they lost, I'd rather have them be poor, I watch this documentary and truly miss Iran, I hope they move past this Islamic regime that is clearly a phase and to a democracy and freedom to that beautiful, artsy, intelligent love that Iran as a country portend. I know one day, Iran will return and she will be as beautiful as she always has, The footage documentary will be shown again in time and it will be more clearer, more nearer, with a better camera, it will be a tomorrow in Iran again.
