If south African can have a station of their own and for years now, what's stopping us from joining in this collusion of Select world scientists in joining research and advancement going in the Arctic Why doesn't this country have it's own Aid and Rescue workers (like Nigeria AiDs or NAiDs) to proffer aid and assistance to our citizens and to also export to other countries when such situation occurs. South Africa was able to send competent rescue workers when the last earthquake happened in Turkiye Why don't Nigeria have a space program, At least a base of at least of 10 standby scientists and group of trained astronauts on standby where the need or call arises how is that an entire country is without a single planetarium, talkless of school of astronomy How come We don't have the equivalent of the White helmets or a truly working Red Cross society to aid our country in time of disaster, when building collapses you see untrained and ignorant citizen rummaging through the rubble without any understand of the necessary actions and quick mode of rescue. Why don't Nigeria have a Climate change program and training event to educate people on the imminent danger of climate change, to enlighten them on the dangers of wanton tree felling and reckless grazing, How come we don't have a solar panelled pavilion connected to a generator which would aid the transmission of electricity, The entire of Yobe is surrounded by desert and the government is allowing all that solar energy potential go to waste, Energy which could have baulked energy generation and supply in the North These things cost less than what is slated for defense or what is appropriated yearly in corruption, these are the signs of a country focused on the future and revamping it's image both home and abroad. After 63 years of independence, we still mull a secession, and allow Innocent citizens to be slaughtered in their homeland, We have no prison healthcare system, No welfare and care services for our aged, No credible research and orientation for shameful diseases like Cholera and lassa fever, no signs of true planning towards a brighter future e5 |
