Ladies and Gentlemen, I want to reminisce a little about the man i refer to as the very first Bad boy of Jazz, Rudy Van Gelder (1924 -2016)
 The man must have listened to a thousand Jazz albums a thousand times hee is.jazz personified a true visionary. And it would have gone something like...

I play and reengineered sound quality of what would eventually make it to the vinyl, I understand audio placements and microphone techniques, because I know these instruments, know these guys, but I love the music most of all.

Later came to known as the Van Gelder Studio, it was at this house, initially Rudy parent's that je captured the pivotal sounds that would end up changing the world. Notably Blue Note Classics.
Switching from Optometry to Sound recording, he is proof of what couldn't achieve when he decides to chase his dreams and follow up on his passion. 
He created a legacy that stands till today, setting the foundation of what is now referred to as the trademark Blue Note Sound.
Some people still only prefer and go after his version of mastered Jazz albums with a trademark RVG on the album cover.
