Calvary Is A Question Into The Morality Of Suicide

In this comedic drama, the first question this movie ask is that Did Jesus commit suicide and why?

could it be that His life got to him, and the strife for perfection could be a bigger cross to carry than the ones placed on him. Many scholars have argued that Jesus didn't die for anybody's sins but was killed for his loud mouthiness and open criticism of the Pharisees, if he was so prepared then explain the crying at Gethsemane, according to them he was just like every prophet who prepared himself for blood baptism that was becoming a thing self righteous pricks like him used in "holding one" over God but this movie is not about that but not totally in denial of it as faith is tested in this movie, being the backbone of modern day Christianity and it usefulness in dealing with modern day problems

Faith, the main subject of discourse and how it fights an unending battle with modern day anomalies, perversions, rationality, depression, logic and the preacher who will definitely be a victim of his own message

The movie is funny and interesting at the same time envisages some things that are happening in the society; the use of irony and farce in the movie is what makes these unspoken argument fall in a lighter mood and what makes this movie unique and instantly likable.

Faith is a good father to his daughter who had a failed suicide attempt, here faith battles with depression coupled with a rich man who had everything in the world that meant nothing to him and trying to create hope where there is none

Faith tackles the anomalies of a man who have been abused by a priest, and is hell bent on taking revenge and with a Priest considered to be a good one, as Faith is threatened with death on a Sunday Afternoon just because He has done nothing wrong, meanwhile the man plays chess with the man who sleeps with his wife, indifferent to the scars she got from him with that Faith still tries to give purpose to a porn addicted loner who goes to join the army in search of purpose,

Faith tackles logic, as the priest is constantly tackled by a morgue attendant whose proximity to the macabre have given him a nihilistic stand towards life and hopes to convert the very pillar of hope to that path, giving him the morbid story of a child who was a victim of a failed anesthetics and became imprisoned in his own body. 

Faith fights against perversion as priest they are exposed to the explicit details of the lascivious thoughts that go through the mind of their parishioners who confess to them in the confession booth 

Faith fights against himself as the wielder of such faith could be permitted to let a little frustration after having his dog killed, church burnt and if shooting in a Buddhist's bar wouldn't help, maybe a missed flight and probably in finding sanity Faith might end up going triumphantly back not with a mule like Jesus on Palm Sunday but with a red sport car,to the beach on that Sunday Afternoon to get crucified.
