DIVERSIFICATION OF SPORTS; A WAY OUT OF NIGERIA'S HOPELESSNESS

Are you Tired of living? Have the bleak nature of the Nigeria future and hopeless clime of the Nigerian expiated words like “Life don tire me” and Which kain life be dis” out of you, Then this article is not for you, it is for people who not like us have a lot of money in their account who smile in wonder at exhaustion of what they will do with their hoard.
This is one of the frequent catch phrase you will hear among Nigerian youth,k who during their long break from universities or long break as a result of not entering one yet, are with so much time to and little money to do with and do without, ingrain in them a feeling of hopeless uselessness
The only time they actually feel alive or have glimmers of hope are usually Saturdays and Sundays when their favourite European football clubs are playing so they use their pent up lethargy and support their teams with gyrations and provocative and loud arguments on whose team is better developing their prognostic prowess on a white receipt, since the government doesn’t care about them maybe this European team they love so much will play according to their plans and pay them a weekly wage through online betting.

Nigerians are fanatical about football and secretly within them dies a dream of probably playing professionally , All of them? Yes All of us. If they start somewhere, play around their community maybe someone will notice them, but in a place like Lagos virtually every place space In sight is sold to sate the budding increase of rural urban migration and population the few who hold the fort and stand their ground on the slack trampoline that is playing football professionally end up having to reduce their age to play when they finally can, after years of feeling useless and nagged at.

You cannot rate a man’s intellect using only the left side of his brain alone that in truth is one muscle compared to the numerous ones in his body, the muscle in his leg, hands and thighs might prove to have more recollection than that of his head, should he then live a life of suffering just because he cannot find his exes, some of us will probably never get into university as we aren’t all blessed with a flair for western rote regurgitation and what is that they say about an idle mind
Why don’t we diversify sports in Nigeria?
Ever since the roman introduce the gladiator in the arena, sports have been the perfect way to get people to find purpose many slaves use these to transcend a life of slavery, it is not the solution to the multifaceted problem of Nigeria but it is a way. Because if diversification of sports is achieved then people who are really interested in doing things white collar will reduce the level  of mediocrity at which we run our ministries and government and nepotism will find no fertile ground
Zambia and South Africa are major talking points as they are  following this example partnering with Multi-choice they have a programme called the Siyadala that is concerned with developing sports from the grass root, which is something that  can also be replicated here too.
When we sponsor these sports and we don’t only give to the people who participate in this a token , but a sense of purpose and a drive...
