" You know what kind of plan never fails? No plan. No plan at all. You know why? Because life cannot be planned." - Ki taek.
SPOILERS ALERT
Sometimes, our plans may not turn out to be as expected. Not because it wasn't worth doing, but sometimes because we made the wrong plan, didn't work towards it or that we did. It might be that something just hindered us achieving what we proposed. This was the case of the Kims; Covetousness in short brought them back to their life of adversity or even, a more worse state than before. Luck may not alwasys remain luck. Min-hyuk told his friend Ki-woo about a job offer, to work as an English tutor in the home of a rich man. His luck clicked and in some other way, his employer, Dong-ik, needed an Art tutor for her son. He introduced his sister to her as Jessica and they were not satisfied, they desired more without considering the damage or pain being inflicted on another. The chain of lies and pretence kept on, until they got their parents into the residence as employees also. The father as a driver and the mother as the house keeper.
Let's move to another phase, Trust. Dong-ik Park has trust issues with people. Referring people to her was less of a burden for her and that made it easier for the Kims.
Da-song being an astute noticed similarities among the family, their smell, which he made mention of, but was paid no attention. But he rang a bell of warning to the Kims and they decided they all used different bathing soap. Was it solved? No. They were well adapted to their environ, the smell was stuck with them.

Back to trust. Moon-gwang the former house keeper trusted Chung - sook because she felt they were both 'in need' and a result, consider and understand her situation.
Instead, Chung-sook threatened to alert the police and expose her. She saw herself in a higher position and used that to oppress Moon-gwang and her husband.
So lovely, karma caught up with her when Her husband with her children fell off the stairs while eavesdropping. They seeked for an agreement, an understanding among them. But it was already late, Moon-gwang was pained and in turn also threatened to expose them with the video she made as an evidence.
It soon turned into violent, as they were scared of letting go of their greedy desire, so they left the couples in a terrible condition and sorted themselves out that night without being caught. The next day was bloody, there, their misfortune finnally clicked  Ki-woo Kim was hit by Oh Geun-sae, Moon gwang's husband, with his suseok.  He stabbed Ki-jung with a knife he got from the kitchen while she was carrying the cake at Da-song's birthday party, making Da-somg pass out and everyone running to save their lives.  However, He was later stabbed by Chung-sook and died.
Now, the big question  remanins. ' Why did Mr. Kim kill Mr. Park?

In my own view, I think he feels Mr. Park lacks the sense of sympathy, that he allowed his wealth dominate every part of him, because knowing that oh Geun-sae was dead and also with the situation of things, he held his nose when he perceived an odour from his body and then looked at Mr. Kim. So, this made Mr. Kim realize he was no different, to oh Geun-sae, immediately regretted his family's action, and took his boss's life.
The basement therefore became his home as he was hiding from being caught. Ki-woo who had survived the hit, had brain damage. He and his mother were back to their house, gainfully sad about their actions and their losses. Their luck was altered through greed and lack of acceptance.
