Joseph Hill and Culure are reggae's most prolific and itinerant music talents with the most catalog of consistent, rasta. eye opening and inspiring music. I didn't know about Culture till later, but they were instantly one of my favorite, and the fact that their music is still quite underground in today's world obviates and affirms the conspiracy to silent the Rasta man.

Joseph Hill's voice have helped me through many a dark nights with his piercing voice, chants and hearty laughs reassuring me, that gold must be thirsted by fire, You could hear that this man had been through a lot and meant every single thing that he said.

Joseph Hill style carries the passion and mundanity similar to Peter Tosh whose story of the everyday black man struggle is used as a microcosm to obviate the grand ill in the world. : Hey Rich man won't you please tell me where you get It".I am particularly fond of Lion Rock's album especially Jah alone A Christian; where you hear something like:

"if them say them a Christian just wait till they see a thousand dollars, they say no hair grow in my palm"

Joseph spoke of all the filth and tricks and deception of Babylon from their tactics even to the money.

Culture were the most consistent and unwavering for decades, Hit songs after hit songs and they all still carry potent spiritual, lyrical, emotional weight Joseph sadly died at the age of 57 but his rich discography serve today as the pillars of Reggae, unsurmountable for years to come, if ever. He worked hard and for that he is rewarded as the Keeper of Zion's Gate.
